“I’m not sure how much better than ‘awesome’ Rose Parade can actually get though, it’ll be tough, but if they do, i’ll be there to fill my ears, and my soul, with whatever they produce…”
“Rose Parade’s debut is the sound of Scottish Indie rock and roll ticking all the right boxes…”
Album Review – Rose Parade by Rose Parade – 13/1/13
“Ayrshire is punching above its weight right now as regards artists and bands that are not just good, but very good..”
“Debut album about to be released. Launch gig sold out, and lots of people getting hot and bothered about them. It’s going to be Rose Parades year.”

Rose Parade Debut Album Press Release

Rose Parade will be self-releasing their debut album on the 18th of February 2013. The prerelease album launch party will take place at the 13th Note in Glasgow on the 1st of February

The band have been busy performing the albums’ 11 songs at shows around Scotland andspending their free time in the studio laying down the tracks with Glasgow based producer Paul Gallagher. The self-titled album will be available in MP3 format on the 18/02/13 onItunes, Amazon, as well as in physical form from the bands’ website.

Rose Parade are an unconventional four-piece band that formed in 2010 from Ayr, Scotland. Their music may be categorised as indie-folk but not with the usual setup of guitar, bass and drum-kit. The band are: Ari Pournaras – Vocals, Guitar, Kick Drum, Edward Mackay – Banjo, Glockenspiel, Keys, Stuart Davidson – Lead Guitar and Oscar Wilson on Bass/ drums

They released their first EP “Grace” in 2010, which brought attention on the Scottish musicscene. Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio), Craig Mcgee (BBC RADIO 1 Introducing), Kowalskiy, Peenko, The Tidal Wave of Indifference and Frankie Ward (The Amazing Folk Roots Show who picked “Closer” as track of the week) are a few of the names that gave them airplay andpositive reviews.

In April 2011 they entered the studio and started recording their debut album with PaulGallagher. The sound of the band had evolved quite dramatically since the EP and theywanted to capture that sound as if they were playing it live in front of you. They finishedrecording it in June 2012 and had it mastered by Chris Le Monde at Black Saloon Studios, London.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope you enjoy our music.
