Biography

Rose Parade are a three piece band that formed in Ayr, Scotland in 2010. The band consists of Ari Pournaras on vocals, guitar & kick drum , Edward Mackay on banjo, glockenspiel & piano and lead guitarist, Stuart Davidson. Since their formation the trio have been committed to experimenting with music & producing their own mixture of folk, punk, indie and blues to establish a unique and exciting new sound. Their electric live shows are well worth catching to experience the buzz Rose Parade are creating.

Rose Parade’s commitment to fostering experimentation, creativity and promoting Scottish music extends to their side project, ‘The Kitchen Sessions‘, based in their hometown of Ayr. Here the band encourage their social connection with music, experimentation and creativity by collaborating with a wide range of bands and musicians to encourage and uncover local talent – all recorded and filmed from a humble kitchen in Ayr.

The band’s first EP “Grace” has brought wide attention on the Scottish music scene. Jim Gellatly(amazing radio, Clyde, Craig Mcgee (BBC RADIO 1 Introducing), Kowalskiy, Peenko, The Tidal Wave of Indifference and Frankie Ward from ‘The Amazing Folk Roots Show’- who picked “Closer” as track of the week – are a few who are already embracing this unique and dynamic band.
